Very casual so not five star dining experience, but we really loved our food. A great draught beer. A delicious spinach salad. And the best of all item on the menu the pizza! We asked for a veggi and it was great. We came here after rafting all afternoon on the Gallatin River.

Excellent selection with quality ingredients and talented folks. Not to mention nice and quick with service. A surprise gem of a place indeed.

I've ordered cake from here twice and both times it was extremely good. I have to admit I was unadventurous and went for the same kind both times (chocolate with cream cheese frosting) but both were delicious. You also get a lot of cake for a very reasonable price. I ordered the in advance both times and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. Last winter we also ordered pizza from here once. Unlike the cake the pizza is not cheap but as far as I know they're the only place in Big Sky that delivers. The good news is that you get what you pay for and the pizza is both substantial and very tasty.

Delectable deli sandwiches and desserts. I would visit here every day for lunch if I had a fatter wallet and bigger appetite. Blue Moon Bakery was suggested to me by a friend who had visited Big Sky several times over the years. It's a bakery that specializes in sweets all of all varieties, pizzas, and sandwiches. I was very satisfied by the cheese bread, sandwich, and a couple of desserts that I ordered for my table. The Garlic Cheese Bread - These were a pretty satisfying appetizer for the table. The serving portion is large at approximately 11"x7". It's a great dish for anyone who loves bread like myself, however, I wish they would have given us more pizza sauce to dip the sticks into. A good deal at $7.50. The Turkish Italian - Yum! What a great sandwich. The Turkish Italian is served on soft and chewy focaccia bread and adorned with turkey, pepperoni, onion, roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce with a light dip of balsamic vinaigrette on the inside of the bun. This sandwich was delicious and I would highly recommend ordering it on your next visit. Desserts Chocolate Chip Cookie - Amazing! Very soft and chewy cookie with large chunks of chocolate inside each bite. German Chocolate Cake - Mediocre. Perhaps I am not a fan of German Chocolate cake, as I have never had it before, but I found this cake to be far to dry for my liking and lacking of true identity. The nuts, chocolate, and cake did not ever come together very well.

My daughter and I had the baked Italian and it was one of the best sandwiches I have had.

Decided to come here for brunch. I ordered the Benny (ham, egg, and cheddar cheese on a plain bagel), my friend got the Bacon Benny, and we got an order of Garlic Cheese Bread to share. The place had an upstairs balcony where we went up to sit. The décor of this place is very interesting with some really weird sculptures on the wall. But I'm not an "artsy" person so maybe I just don't appreciate it. The music was unusual too. I guess it could be described as 60's soul, but some sounded like slave music. I really did not care for it. But the food is what's important and the breakfast sandwich was great. Tasted really fresh and hot. The garlic bread was good too, though I wouldn't have minded even a bit more garlic and I wish the marinara dipping sauce had been hot rather than chilled. It had good flavor though. There were a lot of really tasty-looking items in their bakery case, but we were too full to try any. And their pizza looked really good too... we could see them hand braiding the crust. Wish we had a chance to try it!

We got to town late and were hungry - we went to Blue Moon Cafe 15 minutes before closing time. They whipped up a delicious Vegetarian pizza that was cooked to perfection. They were very courteous and did not rush us out of there - we were so thankful that they let us order, we took our order back to our condo. I love their coffee and they some tasty sandwiches, too.

I'm really jealous of the reviewer who saw a moose outside this place. We did not see any moose (... mooses.... meese?!) but we REALLY enjoyed the food here. From the outside it kind of just looks like a small dinky bakery/deli, but looks are deceiving. This place serves extremely delicious food. For our appetizer (and in an attempt to be somewhat healthy) we ordered a large garden salad. Definitely was big enough for two people to share. I liked all the toppings - mushrooms, green peppers, red onions, croutons. And their balsamic vinaigrette was just the way I like it - super basic and simple. For our meal we ordered a medium pizza with sausage and spinach. When my friend bit into it he declared it "a slice of heaven!" We both agreed the crust was excellent, not greasy and not too thin or thick. I appreciated that the marinara sauce wasn't too sweet or spread on too thick. I also appreciated that they LOADED the whole thing up with tons of cheese. I literally got full after one slice because there was so much cheese on it! We had three slices leftover to take home between the two of us. We had to save room for dessert because their bakery case looked so tempting. I got the chocolate brownie but wasn't super impressed. I feel like it could've been a little moister/fudgier. But my friend really loved his cherry cheesecake crumble, so maybe I just ordered wrong. p.s. - I love that they have sweet tea! you rarely see that in places outside the south, but it's so so good.

We went twice in four nights as the pizza was delicious and the salads were fresh. We got pastries both times for dinner and another time after eating at the lotus pad (also delicious).

Ordered at 7:40, was told delivery would be an hour. Called at 9:00 and was told food was on the way and should be here any minute. Arrived at 9:35. Garlic cheese bread was cold, pizza was warm. Thankful for a microwave in our room. No apology on phone or from delivery guy. Would definitely not order from again. Would have gladly picked it up had we known it would be that long.

Two pieces of pizza and one spicy roast beef sandwich taste deliciously. The whole restaurant looks sweet. I love it.

This is a wonderful little bakery located in the back of the shopping plaza of Big Sky. The cookies and baked good are delicious but the best feature is the pizza. Everything we tried at Blue Moon Bakery was wonderful. The atmosphere is fairly stark with a few tables to eat in and a table or two outdoors. Come for the food, not the ambiance..

Great place to get food! One of the few places I got my money's worth there. Will be back! Great pizza and quick.

Awesome pizza! I would definitely order this again. Crust isn't great but the pizza makes up for it. Got some cookies and they sucked.

Delicious baked goods, breakfast and lunch. $6.25 lunch special with two slices of pizza and a drink! Italian sandwich is amazing!

I was a little reluctant to order a bagel with lox this far from New York City, but I was not disappointed! The Bagel was as good as any NY bagel, the Lox were heaped on and fresh chives and red onions with capers really made for a tasty breakfast. The coffee is the best in Big Sky. It is definitely worth a 10 minute drive from the ski resort.

Quaint little bakery and pizza shop. Reminds me of what Panera Bread wishes they were without all the corporate baggage. Super fresh menu from the hands of people that take their baking seriously! Awesome bread and bagels (try the "works" bagel with chive cream cheese)...Did I mention their cream cheeses are super spreadable? KILLER pizza and sandwiches! They have an awesome lunch pizza special too - 2 Slices & a fountain drink for $6.25. How can you go wrong with that?

Our party of hungry skiiers ended up here for dinner since it appears several of the other surrounding places require reservations for a Friday night. No worries - we're fans of pizza. The pizza crust was notably tender and satisfying, but the toppings were fairly average and the garlic cheese toast was just fine. Overall, we had good pizza, decent beer, and no wait or reservations were required. But they should really do something about the door - it slams every time it's opened. I'd give our dinner experience just over 3 stars. We returned to try out breakfast, and holy homemade bagels... I had one of the best lox & bagels of my life. One of my friends who shares my affinity for lox & bagels agreed, noting that it's rare for him to not need extra cream cheese, but Blue Moon doesn't skimp! Several of us were tempted to get bagels to bring home. The breakfast sandwiches are equally generous and delicious. Tack on excellent coffee (I noticed an accolade by the door claiming the best coffee in Big Sky - I don't doubt it!) and I'm a fan.

We returned today to try out the bagel. Not your typical NYC style bagel b/c it was more breadlike and not at all chewy. That's ok. I'm still very excited to return for the pizza. (Would've had it for dinner tonight, but this type of freezing weather is nothing that I've encountered my entire life...and yet I see ppl out there without jackets. Must be locals).

Delicious hand-tossed pizza in a laid back atmosphere. The service was fast and prices were reasonable, especially for a resort area.

Their pizza is wonderful. We heard their pizza was very good so we drove down to the mall for lunch and enjoyed the pizza so much we ordered two more for dinner on our last night in town. Order early, though, they get busy! We heard they deliver but didn't use that service.

I called today and the phone was answered by a young man who simply said "hold on". No please or even the name of the restaurant so I'd know if I called the right number. After a brief hold he came back on and in a very disgusted tone said "Blue Moon, what can I get you." WOW! Attitude adjustment please. I was so put off and offended. I told him I did not appreciate the offensive way he answered the phone then he hung up on me. This young man needs to be fired and replaced with someone who cares about the first impression via phone. This place will not be receiving our business today, or ever.

Busy night of takeout, so we waited about 30 minutes for our pizzas, but they were great. Had a pepperoni and made our own chicken-bacon-ranch.

If you're in Big Sky then you are stoked, so 3 stars right there just for being in an awesome place. Everyone is friendly and the food is consistently delicious. Actually, perfection would be a more accurate description. I go straight for the Wonder Bar. Still the best version of an oatmeal bar ever to be found (Big Sur bar is barely a contender!) Easy to get to and you won't be able to find anything on the menu that is not lip-smacking, OMG - delicious. Love Big Sky, Love Blue Moon Bakery!

Laid back atmosphere with reliably delicious food. I have been coming here for years, and have tried most things on the menu. The pizza is amazing mainly because of their dough. I frequently buy a bag of bagels and the veggie cream cheese - by far the best cream cheese I've ever had in my life. The Turkish Italian is one of my favorite sandwiches of all time. Great lunch, great breakfast, and the pastries are amazing. Get the pecan bar. They have beer. Would recommend to all.

Can't stop thinking of this place since I left Big Sky. The breakfast options are extremely fresh and delicious. The hearty benny's were the perfect start to a long day of hiking. My personal favorite became the Lox & Bagel. This is one of my favorite dishes, so I am highly critical of it, and Blue Moon Bakery knows their stuff!! They work hard everyday to make fresh baked bagels and the difference comes across immediately! The fresh ingredients are one of many reasons why I would travel long and far and eat at Blue Moon Bakery again.

Delicious coffee and muffins to start a full day of Big Sky activities! The berry muffins aren't too sweet and have a perfectly crunchy top. For lunch, the Health Nut sandwich is the perfect combination of turkey and sprouts on amazing fresh whole grain bread. Definitely a culinary highlight of Big Sky!

On a recent trip to Big Sky I was lucky enough to stumble across The Blue Moon Bakery when looking for something else,as is often my situation. My first of three trips to Blue Moon was for breakfast. Their bagels are delicious! My knowledge of bagels is kind of limited, but these were awesome. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside and an explosion of flavor with each bite. The next day my daughter and I tried their pizza. Again delicious. I don't usually like a thicker crust, but theirs was so yummy. It has a braided crust and an abundance of fresh veggies. I never eat reheated pizza, but honestly this was even better the next evening. My next Blue moon encounter was an Italian Scallion salad for lunch . A winner again. This place is a definite "must do" when visiting the beautiful town of Big Sky.

Blue Moon Bakery is my favorite breakfast place in Montana. The sticky buns should be outlawed for their addictive qualities. I highly recommend Benny bagel too.

Don't come here if you are in a rush! Took me 50 minutes to get 3 deli sandwiches. They were good, but not worth the wait!

Excellent espresso drinks, super-friendly staff. The Blue Moon seriously has the BEST whole wheat bread on the planet. So good that I'm almost willing to overlook the probability that the bread-handling staff uses the same atrociously filthy bathroom that patrons are expected to use. Almost.

Blue Moon Bakery is the ultimate pre-skiing breakfast fuel stop. There's nothing better than a hearty Benny sandwich (housemade bagel with eggs, ham, and cheese) to start your day right. The pecan sticky buns are pretty top notch, too. I recommend the parmesan bagel - mmm, good! Great service, plenty of tables (more upstairs), cute and comfortable. If you're en route to Big Sky or Moonlight Basin for a day of skiing, stop here first!

Muffins, brownies and pizza served up by hippies? How can you go wrong? The Baklava muffin was fantastic, even two days later. Everything else we gobbled up the same night. The man behind the counter was also very friendly. And we saw a moose right outside! We really had to resist feeding them our muffins.

We ordered three pizzas, two plain and one peperoni/olives, as well as two salads. Delivery was prompt and on time. The salads were good, but the pizzas were certainly... interesting. I've experienced my fair share of pizzas, from the best of NY and NJ to the worst Pizza Hut and Dominoes. This was near the low end of the experiences. The dough was thick and heavy, and didn't exactly compliment the cheese overload and the absence of sauce in proportion. The crust was closer to a twisted bread stick than crust. I cannot recommend their pizza from this experience.

Really nice homey place. We had a pizza and salad for dinner, along with a home made cookie for dessert. Everything was delicious in this super casual, order at the counter place. We stopped by for lunch the next day and had a wonderful Reuben on homemade bread. A great place to fill up after a day of Nordic skiing.

I really like stopping in here for some nice bready slices of pizza every once in a while! I like the Supreme the best and they're always nice to me :)

The take and bake pizzas are very good and extremely convenient. The sandwiches are huge - made on thick slices of whole grain bread and they don't skimp on the fillings. I recommend both, but allow time as they get busy and it can take awhile to receive your order. Their iced coffee is good as well.

You can't beat their Bagel breakfast sandwiches and freshly brewed designer coffee, especially before a days drive to Bozeman or Yellowstone.
